Survey

Did you receive an e-mail invitation to participate in a survey about a new NBME assessment program?

The NBME is conducting an online survey designed to help us understand how residency and fellowship programs are currently assessing professionalism, communication skills, and other related competencies and to assess interest in a program like the APB for addressing those competencies. If you received an invitation, we would greatly appreciate your completion of the survey.

Field Trials

The NBME is now conducting field trials in collaboration with medical schools and residency training programs to obtain information about the utility of the APB instrument. The field trials test the use of the instrument as part of a formative and supportive system for multisource feedback (MSF). It is intended that the process will encourage thoughtful reflection and dialogue about professional behaviors at individual, departmental and institutional levels, and that the feedback provided will result in an opportunity to enhance strengths and identify areas needing improvement.

Information on our current pilot can be found here.
